What is a genius?
A 'genius' is a person who achieves surpassing
excellence in their intellect or skill. A genius has more
than exceptional intelligence, talent, knowledge,
originality or creativity. What is a
genius? Genius means insight and achievement
which has transformational
power in society, changing the way
people think and feel, and what expectations they have
about human abilities - at an historical cultural level.
An example of a genius is Albert
Einstein who transformed the way the
scientifically educated think about space, time and the
universe. Another example is Leonardo da Vinci - perhaps the
greatest genius - and most diversely talented human - in
history.
Leonardo da
Vinci (1452-1519)
Italian
Renaissance scientist,
mathematician, engineer,
inventor,
anatomist, painter, sculptor,
architect,
botanist, musician, writer. A
universal
genius. Leonardo
changed our view
of what a human is capable
of.
