October 09 - Tower of Hanoi
Problem
Here is the classic 3 disk
(easier) version of this IQ puzzle. The
diagram shows the starting point where all the disks are
on peg 1. In this problem you need to move one disk at a
time (from one peg to another), without putting a larger
disk on a smaller one, to get to the arrangement in the second
diagram. Don't
use paper and pen, and try to solve the problem with the
minimum number of moves. How
many moves do you need to make?
